First of all, the closed portion of the road is approximately 2600 feet long, about ½ a mile. Second, the oldest section of Klingle Road is Klingle Ford, which allowed horse and buggies to drive through Rock Creek before there were bridges. Third, Klingle Valley was a natural, beautiful stream valley for tens of thousands of years before Klingle Road.
