Public Hearing on Road and Park Bills
March 13, 10 am City Council Chambers

On Thursday March 13th there will be a joint "Committee of the Whole" and "Committee on the Public Works and the Environment" hearing regarding both the pro-road and pro-park bills.

The Mayor's Bill (PR -15-58 the "Klingle Road Use Plan Approval Resolution of 2003") comprehensively addresses Klingle Valley. The bill would allow DC to begin to fix some damaged sections of the Valley. It proposes studying the stormwater runoff, east-west traffic, and the environmental impact of implementing DDOT's preferred alternative - keeping Klingle a park.  View the PDF file.

Council Chair Linda Cropp introduced a bill (PR 15-61 - "Klingle Road Restoration Act")  that seeks to repave Klingle Valley. The bill rests on some shaky foundations, in particular, the bogus study paid for by the Roadies. more>>>
